Coldwells Sign
Location: about a mile and a half west of Inverurie
OS Map Reference: NJ 755 205
Description: A wonderful cut steel sign of a Clydesdale Horse in working harness, the harness detail suggests a working horseman's intimate knowledge, this plus the style and overall condition suggest it is of considerable age.
Related Information: The style is reminiscent of the plywood cut outs done by the famous William Robbie (1887-1967) but I have never heard of him having made any steel signs.
Era: 1900s
Settlement: Inverurie
County: Aberdeenshire
